Student and Postdoctoral Travel Award

The International Association of Empirical Aesthetics (IAEA) will grant travel awards for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to attend the IAEA Congress in Palma, May 08 to 10, 2024.

Applications should be sent by e-mail to the Secretary General (Aniko Illes, anikoilles@gmail.com).

Deadline for receipt of applications is 31 January 2024.

To be considered for the award, applications must include:

  • An abstract submitted to the IAEA congress.

  • The applicant should be the first author of the abstract.

  • The applicant must be a Ph.D. student or a postdoctoral fellow.

  • If the applicant is a Ph.D. student, then a certificate stating that the applicant is actively pursuing a Ph.D. degree at his/her university (e.g., formal letter by the supervisor) will be required.

  • If the applicant is a postdoctoral fellow, then a certificate stating that the applicant is employed as a postdoctoral fellow at his/her university (e.g., formal letter by the supervisor) will be required.

  • A statement that the applicant will not receive duplicate funding for all or part of the travel expenses from their institution in case he/she receives an IAEA award.

  • Applicants must be members or student members of the IAEA.

 

If the criteria above do not apply to your specific case but nevertheless you wish to be considered for a travel award, then please contact the organizers.

Members of the IAEA Board of Directors will evaluate the applications with regard to the scientific excellence of the submitted abstracts. Based on these evaluations, the Association Officers will select and announce the award recipients about 4 weeks after the deadline.
