About IAEA 2024

The 2024 Biennial Congress of the International Association of Empirical Aesthetics is planned for Palma, Mallorca, Balearic Islands, Spain on May 08 - 10.

IAEA is home to researchers who use empirical methods to investigate aesthetic experiences, as well as the creation and perception of art across many domains including music, literature, film, theatre, dance, and visual art, among others.

Our members from over 20 countries include individuals with backgrounds in psychology, neuroscience, sociology, museology, art history, philosophy, musicology, and other areas of research and practice.
